You just have to submerge each vinyl record in boiling water for 4 to 8 minutes, in order to make them soft and bendable, shape them into the desired form, and then just glue one on top of the other as seen in the picture, using a hot glue gun. 7. Upcycle old hardback books into a Book Folding Art Piece
You can make your own version of this stunning book folding art piece by using old hardcover books that are similar in size. In order to prepare the books, you will have to hot glue their backs onto backing board rectangles that are 1 or 2 inches smaller than the back of each book, and then divide their pages evenly, if you are aiming to create a symmetrical design. Finally, you will secure each book onto the wall with brads, that you’ll have to hammer into each of its corners. An old ladder made of wood can be turned into a fantastic upcycled bookshelf. You only have to secure the ladder a centimeter or two away from the wall using corner braces, making sure that it follows the corner of your room. You can stack your books in between the ladder’s steps, and they won’t fall off, since they can rest against the wall.
9. Upcycle a vintage distressed funnel into an industrial pendant lamp
If you love the industrial look and know your way around tools, you will absolutely love this project.
